THE PROBLEM
“Couldn’t find centerlines to generate a corridor around. Ensure that centerlines are set correctly.”
Finch 3d a promising AI-powered tool for architects.
and here’s the Problem:

There’s no visual guidance on what a “centerline” is supposed to look making it very confusing to understand what to do next even for an architect

No tooltip or hint on how to set it up (may be blinking icon)

No default examples or even a suggested fix .
As a UX designer with an architecture background, I know how important it is to let users stay in the flow. But moments like this can halt that creative momentum.

What Could Improve the Experience:

A visual guide “Centerline Guide”showing how to correctly set up centerlines or better the second option which is :

Interactive hint or “Fix it for me” and “show me how” option
2.1. Smart error recovery: e.g.using the AI engine “We’ve auto-added a centerline. Edit it here."

Clicking on “Centerline Guide” opens a helpful modal with text and visual instructions. It explains what centerlines are and how to draw them.
